Joey Krum
When Joe Krum was studying Natural Resource Management at Hawkeye Community College, he hadn’t yet found his true calling. But something clicked when he began working in store management and outside sales for O’Reilly Auto Parts and Advance Auto Parts. Soon, he was the go-to guy when a store’s sales needed attention and eventually opened Advance Auto Parts’ largest hub store.
Next, Joe spent five years as the manager of Graybill Communications, a 2-way radio company that outfitted police cars and installed 911 dispatch centers for local counties. In that role, Joe managed and oversaw a multiyear project installing 2 way radios and computers in a large electric company’s fleet of vehicles. And it was while running Graybill that he first met CellSite. When Joe was ready for a new opportunity, they offered him a job.
Since then, Joe has started the procurement department at CellSite, tasked with reducing the cost of production materials to improve margins. Joe also pioneered CellSite’s ISP Services division, working closely with customers to define service offerings. Today, this is one of the fastest growing departments at CellSite, rapidly expanding to deliver on technologies like fiber and mobile edge computing.
With three kids, Joe’s family keeps him very busy. They can usually be found watching movies, playing outside or swimming in the pool. Joe is heavily involved in the motorcycle community and spends a lot of time riding and helping with related charity events. If it’s too cold to ride, Joe enjoys hunting and fishing.
