Mat Hennings

New to the Telecom industry but not to the financial world, Mat Hennings joined CellSite Solutions following seven years with Rockwell Collins (Aviation and Government Contracting). Mat served in various finance roles, primarily financial planning and analysis, on both the commercial aviation and government systems sides of the business.

Prior to that, Mat served as head of FP&A with JM Swank food distribution (a private equity-backed portfolio company), as a multi-plant controller with WestRock Paper, and for three years with Communications Engineering Company as their Head of Finance. At the latter, Mat handled design, engineering, and project lifecycle management for technology solutions, which exposed him to the technologies he’d be working with at CellSite.

Throughout his career, Mat has been responsible for many systems implementation and process improvements. He has been part of the cross functional team setting up new ERP systems, forecasting, budgeting, and creating company policy. He has been deployed on multiple occasions to turnaround plant profitability and conduct restructuring exercises.

At Communication Engineering Company, Mat helped to remap the operating system flow to their ERP to build out sound financials and reporting capabilities. He has also assisted businesses with liquidity and cash conversion cycle management. In his ultimate role at Rockwell Collins he supported a business unit with $1B in revenue.

Mat’s two children keep his family pretty busy with soccer, baseball, football, basketball, dance, and gymnastics—including catching Iowa Hawkeye games. When they do manage to sit still, it’s often at their cabin on the Mississippi River in Harpers Ferry, IA. They love to spend family time there from April-October each year, fishing, water skiing, tubing, or hitting up the sand bars.
